From today, you’ll now have 2 chances to vote for Ultimate Minecraft every day, meaning you can claim twice the number of rewards. Bored of squid eggs? We’ve mixed up the voting rewards by adding in a handful of new mob eggs, as well as a few other goodies! There are now 21 possible rewards, with more to be added in the future. Some are rarer than others – see if you can find out what they all are… it won’t be easy.
For your second chance to vote, visit our server page on Planet Minecraft.
Andy here, bringing you this weeks headlines.
MinecartMania Reborn has been re-added, it has been disabled since we upgraded to 1.4.6 due to the plug-in being incompatible with the newer Bukkit-builds. The update does contain some bugs, amongst other things stations and intersections do not work.
HariboPenguin has unfortunately decided to step down from his position as Game Master (read his forum post for the full details). On behalf of us all, thank you for doing such a great job as GM and we’re glad that you’re still going to stick around playing the game normally while holding the rank of developer.
The VIP discount period has ended, thank you for all your donation and we hope you enjoy the extra 15 days you’ve all been credited with!
We’ve also done a major rewrite of the server rules. All players are advised to go to UltimateMinecraft.net/Rules to read up on the updated rules. The headlines are as always available in-game at spawn. Here are the most important updates:
- Players are now allowed to use flint and steel/fire charges to create fire. Fire spread is still disabled, although you use it at your own risk, and should your fire cause damage to structures/players, you will be held accountable for it.
- All players are now allowed to build, mine and play in the guest world, including members.
All users are responsible for knowing our current rules at all times.
Get ready for another week of Ultimate Minecrafting!
Since the new map began, towns have been slowly forming out in the wilderness, but without any kind of official status as they had in the old map. Well, this is no longer the case! As of today, it is now possible for players to become mayors of their own town, which will allow them to setup plots inside of their towns without having to ask a moderator to protect them. There can only be one mayor per town, but it is possible for mayors to appoint ‘assistants’ who can perform almost the same actions as the mayor can. Becoming an official town will bring you benefits over what you would have as a normal player, so read on below to find out more!
Welcome to Ultimate Minecraft’s new website. With this change we hope to make the website more up to date with things that happen in game, which people often miss if they are not regulars in IRC or on the forums. Over time, we hope to fill the new website with as much information as possible to help you get the most out of our server.
As you can see the site is now fully integrated with the forums, this means that you’ll not have to create a new account if you have already signed up with the forums.
