Bank Mayhem 2013

Today saw an act of unbelievable, albeit sanctioned destruction in spawn. There were fireworks, spiderweb parties, and prizes for the most destructive players in a free-for-all bank demo. That’s right, the dismantling of the bank was the main event of the evening, an event that saw the entire range of human emotion on display. Chaoskills93′s cries of triumph and joy as he won the ‘Most Destructive’ award by clearing away 1,313 blocks of the old Bank building. ks07′s cries of anguish as he had to struggle against his miserly tendancies and hand over gold blocks to the first, second, and third place block removal winners.

The destruction was both impressive and frightening.

At the end of the day, the entire event served three purposes. 1) It allowed many of our more grief-prone members to scratch the itch without us having to ban them for forever. 2. It was a fun community project/contest with prizes and luls. 3. It paved the way for the new bank:

1st place: Chaoskills93 with 1,313 blocks destroyed
2nd place: xlentanx with 1,137 blocks destroyed
3rd place: piggy_of_doom with 1,081 blocks destroyed.
Runner up: DukeOfNuke with 1,064 blocks destroyed

Prizes Given Away:
1st place: Chest full of 1 each spawn egg, 15 gold blocks, something loose that ks07 had in his pocket, 1 month of free VIP+ and a link and code for a Humble Indie Bundle game package.
2nd place: Chest full of 1 each spawn egg, 10 gold blocks, something loose that ks07 had in his pocket.
3rd place: Chest full of 1 each spawn egg, 5 gold blocks, ks07′s pants.

Don’t forget to ask before you teleport to players, and keep in mind that abusing these perks may lead to you losing them or in some cases more harsh punishments. Plot Auctions Now Available

For all of those wanting one of the large mall plots or even spawn shop plots, the wait is finally over! Head on over to the specially created section of the forums to find out more and place your bids. Remember that whatever you bid will be the monthly price, so make sure you don’t go outrageously high and blow all your savings in a single month!

UPDATE: In order to make the outdoor shop plots more appealing, players who own the shops will be able to clear the space directly beneath the shop floor to create a basement level and hold more items for sale!

Pig Races!

Ultimateminecraft recently held an 11 player pig race, hosted in Galvanic Ind by myself (frej93). Thanks to all those that participated, as well as to B3ll and MrAbrman for creating a redstone mechanism that lowers the gates using pistons (not shown in this current video, but will be of immense use later)

Hopefully more pig races will be held in the future, including prizes, more organised competition rules, and a mini-arena around the track so spectators can watch.
