In good news, as mentioned in the last update, UMiCef has its own stargate network, which is accessible from the UMiCef centre at spawn! Ask for directions if you cannot find it, or take the spawn stargate system to UMicef! It is well worth checking out some of the awesome builds

DukeOfNuke01 has been working well on his project, Aldedge, and it is coming along nicely There is a picture below of the progress so far, and it is accessible via the UMiCef stargate system!

In other news, the UMiCef plugin has been updated to take new items into consideration! This means that we need donations of the new items (such as nether quartz) to enable us to start to hand this out in requests! Any donations would be appreciated.

Not much else to recount. There haven’t been many applications recently. I would encourage everyone who is considering building a large scale project to apply! As long as you have made a start to your project (it doesn’t have to be a huge amount), you haven’t been recently banned and you are intending to be fairly active, chances are your application will be accepted and you could be seeing your build on the front page, and on an exclusive stargate network! I would also like to remind people that if you feel that improvements could be made to UMiCef, or if you have suggestions, make a thread in the server suggestions of the forum! It’d be nice to see an even greater participation in the UMiCef program

Also of note is that IRC users can now also connect to our IRC server via SSL. Simply set the port to 6665, and enable SSL (sometimes achieved by setting the server port to ‘+6665′). Users of XChat, HexChat, and other derivatives on Windows may find they are unable to connect this way, due to how these programs handle encryption. You can fix this by enabling ‘Accept invalid SSL certificate’ in the network options.

1. No protections shall be created in The End – this does not include chest locks, which you are free to make as usual.
2. You may still build in the end, but any items or blocks left in the world will be deleted when the world is reset. No refunds for material lost in this way will be given.
3. Endermen grinders are permitted, but will not be spawned in. You can team up to build one each reset, if you desire.
4. No UMiCef projects will be approved in The End, as the materials will be lost.
5. Flight is not allowed in The End – the dragon is an easy kill if you can fly to his pillars!

We hope you’ll enjoy a tough fight for a change, though we will be watching closely to see how you best our champion of The End… Perhaps he’ll need some reinforcements?

That’s right, I’ve decided to make a little comeback to the server. There is a small change though, I’ve started to use an alternate username on various websites as to not reveal my entire name, so my in-game name will now be “rylinaux” – this will probably be confusing to many people at first so feel free to let other people know instead of having them freak out when they see someone they’ve never seen before as an admin.

Some of you may already know this, but two of our long standing moderators have parted ways with us to go on to new adventures. Firstly, on behalf of all the Admin team I’d like to thank Murreey and Iadieu for all of their hard work during their time as UMC staff members. Both of these individuals have proven that the staff team have a strong devotion and sense of responsibility over our server and we can not thank you enough for your voluntary effort in keeping the server in a state in which we advertise it to be in. Without people like Iadieu and Murreey the server wouldn’t be half as enjoyable as it is today.

Sadly, we must all say goodbye at some time or another. Today we say farewell to two valued moderators, I truly give you both the best of luck on behalf of all UMC players!
