Dynmap, Town News and More!
If you have haven’t noticed already, we’ve added dynmap to the server! This allows for us to have a live map that is constantly updated, no more waiting for the gmap to update! To view the new map, you can go here: http://www.ultimateminecraft.net/game-tools/world-maps/
I’ve also decided to expand a couple of the worlds! The main world has been expanded and is now 7,000 x 7,000 and the nether has been expanded a little bit more and is now 3,000 x 3,000.
The MCTowns plugin is going to be removed, and so will official towns. All existing town protections will remain seeing as they are handled via WorldGuard, but in the future the town protections will need to be made by mods. This has been mentioned in threads on the forums before, and makes more sense seeing as the MCTowns plugin can be rather… complex. This is exactly how towns were done on the old map and it worked much (much) better than before. So to re-cap, there will be no more “official” towns, just towns.
We are going to be holding an auction of sorts (not the plugin) for the two downstairs mall plots and the outside mall shops, more information will be available this weekend. This is just a warning to make sure that people have money for when they start.
